The Greater Kansas City Interfaith Council joined in the Iftar Dinner on March 22 hosted at the Precious Blood Renewal Center. More than 100 people participated with members of the Islamic faith and the sponsoring Dialogue Institute in a meal (Ramadan Mubarak) breaking their Ramadan fast after sunset with friends and family members. The institute shared in the traditional rules governing the month long Ramadan fast, an annual observance which began for Muslims this year on Sunday March 10 and ended Tuesday April 9. Families gather after each sunset to teach and discuss the fast.
