yarn-gameCultural Crossroads helped bring to life the world in one short afternoon this past weekend, October 8, 2016. A wonderful crowd of very young to “seasoned professionals” showed up to engage in crafts, learn to dance, watch performances, enjoy stories from different times and places, practice origami… and everyone had a chance to play with coloring books, stickers and participate in “hands-on” activities. Basically there was FUN for all ages! 🙂

Everyone discovered amazing things about our community and our connection to the world. The Friendship Fair is a free, family-oriented event with presentations and activity booths from organizations around the city. The fair features booths and activities by a variety of local organizations, with the chance to learn about other cultures and religions in a free, fun, family-oriented environment.

Participants include Baha’i Faith, Children’s Peace Pavilion, Christian Church (Disciples), Christian Science Center, Cultural Crossroads, Dialogue Institute of Southwest, Falun Dafa Association of KC, Festival of Faiths, G.A.M.E., GKCIC, Habitat for Humanity/House of Abraham, HeartLove Interfaith Community, International Relations Council, KC for Refugees, Muslim Youth of North America, Rime Buddhist Center, Smart Career Club, Sukyo Mahikari Center, Sustainable Sanctuary Coaltion, Ten Thousand Villages, UU Youth Education, and others.
