The Table of Faiths Luncheon
The Table of Faiths luncheon is an annual program and fundraiser for the Greater Kansas City Interfaith Council. The luncheon occurs during the second week of November and focuses on a specific theme relating to interfaith issues.
The theme for 2008 was "Spirituality and Health", the theme for 2009 was "Celebrating Interfaith Youth". The GKCIC presents two awards at the Table of Faiths luncheon: The Steve Jeffers Interfaith Leadership Award to an individual who exhibits interfaith values in the Kansas City community and the Table of Faiths Award to an organization that exhibits interfaith values within the Kansas City community. Each member of the Council hosts a booth representing their respective faith tradition at the Table of Faiths. Guests can meet members of the Council and learn about the various faith traditions represented.
