Sufis believe there is One God; One God whose message has been given to the world through history by a chain of masters, saints, and prophets. This chain of messengers, united with God, serves hu¬manity as the Spirit of guidance. Sufism is the religion of the heart, the religion in which one thing is most important, and that is to seek God in the heart of mankind. Sufis believe we live and move and have our being in God.

If one goes to the Christian church, or to the Synagogue, to the Buddhist temple, the Hindu shrine or the mosque of the Muslim, there is God.

Sufism, in the meaning of the word, is wisdom. The purpose of Sufism is to bring souls to God-realization.
