A NEW Interfaith Dialogue Program "Kansas City Table Talk"

On Sunday, April 25, 2010 at 6:00 pm join eight to ten individuals from various faith and cultural backgrounds for dinner and conversation. The topic: the impact of multicultural and interfaith diversity on our lives and our community. A trained facilitator paces the evening and ensures that everyone has an opportunity to be heard. Sign up to be a Guest, Host, or Facilitator (training provided).  Please email Shannon Clark at shannon@kcinterfaith.org or call 913-548-2973 if you are interested in participating. The deadline to sign up is March 20, 2010. This is a free program (the only cost is if you sign up as a host and provide dinner).

What you can expect:

Guest:

  • Attend dinner at an assigned home
  • Listen respectfully, with an open mind
  • Be willing to participate in the spirit of the event

 

Hosts:

  • Provide dinner for 6-10 guests in your home
  • Ask a friend or two to join you
  • Participate with the guests

 

Facilitators:

  • Participate in advance training for event
  • Keep the discussion moving and on topic
